Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park, located 700km from Kampala, hosts over 77 mammal species and 475 bird species. It is Uganda's most isolated national park but ranks among Africa's finest wildernesses, with a savannah landscape extending far beyond the gazetted area. During the dry season, the Narus Valley is the park's prime game viewing location, with wetlands and remnant pools providing the only permanent water.
