Chimps & Queen Elizabeth

A chimpanzee trekking experience in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest, followed by a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives and a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, offers a unique and exciting safari adventure in Uganda, allowing visitors to witness diverse wildlife such as chimpanzees, tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and over 600 bird species, as well as beautiful natural features like the Muyanga Waterfall.

Itinerary

5-day Chimps & Queen Elizabeth trip includes Kibale Forest with its 13 primate species, Chimp trekking, Bigodi Swamp birdwatching, Queen Elizabeth National Park game drives, and Kazinga Channel boat ride. The trip ends with a drive back to Kampala with a stop for lunch at the equator.


Day 1: Depart for Kibale Forest and pass tea plantations en route. It has 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, and red colobus.


Day 2: Chimp tracking and guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary has 137 bird species and rich vegetation.


Day 3: After breakfast, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. We will cross the equator as well as have a chance to do an evening game drive game in the park.


Day 4: Early morning game drive and an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga Channel. With a site offering magnificent vistas with hippos, buffalos, and elephants on the banks.


Day 5: After breakfast, we drive back to Kampala. We will have lunch at the equator.
